Project Description – ​Bibi Art Studio – African Smoke Art

This project showcases the smoke‑art of Bibi (Bianca Botha)
through a visually driven portfolio site. 
Visitors are welcomed by a header video intro to the “Smoke Art Room”, 
with content organized via Artist (biography) and Gallery (artworks).

The core is a block‑based gallery: 
The visual language mirrors the medium: black‑and‑white aesthetics, restrained typography, and clean composition. 
Social links connect to Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube. 
A notable highlight is the shortlist for 
“Wildlife Artist of the Year 2024” (David Shepherd Wildlife Foundation)
referenced within the project.

• On hover, an overlay reveals title, medium, size, and a short note.
• On click, a popup/modal opens with a large view and the full description.

Scope & status:

• Focus: portfolio presentation only (no e‑commerce), single language (EN). 
•  Delivery: gallery interaction (hover/modal), header video, Artist/Gallery structure,
  consistent branding, and credit in the footer. 
•  Known constraint: header‑video load time, accepted in favor of an immersive, cinematic entry.

Outcome:
 A minimal, artwork‑first portfolio that foregrounds the experience of smoke art 
and deepens it through intuitive gallery interactions.
